This site is intended to deal with misconceptions and misrepresentations that have been promulgated about the skeletons found in Liang Bua Cave, Flores, Indonesia, in 2003.

Below are two responses that were written in response to a review published earlier in 2012 in The American Scientist. The longer version was submitted to that journal early in July, 2012, but declined by the editor on grounds of length.  Subsequently we submitted the shorter version, which will be published by the journal.
